Do you come to us?​

Yes. I'm based in South London, I travel to my tutees to do face-to-face lessons. I'd also be happy to accommodate you at my home, or teach online.

When do you teach?

Currently I teach evenings and weekends, though I can be flexible.

How long are lessons?

Up to 1 hour. This is enough time to review homework, focus on improving technique and skills, work on new songs and anything else depending on the student's goals. Lessons may be shorter depending on the student's age and learning needs.

Do you teach grades?

Yes. Currently I'm teaching Trinity Guitar Rock & Pop Grades Initial, 1, 2 and 3. To achieve a new grade typically takes 6 months to 1 year depending on the student and the amount of practice time.

Do you have a DBS certificate? 

Yes. This is available on request and provided to new clients ahead of the first lesson.

What is your cancellation policy?

I require at least 24 notice to cancel or reschedule a lesson. Anything less and I have to charge for the lesson, as I'm then unable/very unlikely to find other work.

Do you provide materials?

Yes, in addition to lessons I can record demo videos of any songs/techniques we're working on for reference during practice. These are bespoke and include tips and information relevant to the student they are recorded for. Anyone wishing to take a grade will need to purchase the relevant Trinity Guitar Rock and Pop songbook, available on amazon.

What do I need for lessons?

As well as a guitar (I can advise on what guitar would be best, depending on the budget and the student), you'll need plectrums, guitar tuner, a logbook for homework, practice log and notes, and for beginners aged 7+ I'd recommend getting Trinity Guitar Rock and Pop songbook. Do you teach group lessons?

Generally, no. Lessons are one-on-one. However if you have an enquiry about shorter lessons for multiple people this is something I'm more than happy to discuss.

How do I make bookings?

​To book a taster session fill out the form above, and I will come back to you via email and/or phone (your preference). Once we've done a first session, if you wish to continue with weekly or fortnightly lessons you can book in blocks of four. Payment must be made in advance to secure the slot. I am flexible with how lessons are arranged so we can discuss whatever lesson and payment schedule you would prefer.
